With fewer people in the room, you can hear every word. Connor and Mandy never wanted a large wedding — they only wanted the people who matter most gathered into one space. Glasses and greetings downstairs, warm light and long tables upstairs, an entire day unfolding slowly inside one building. They didn't need a microphone to be heard. What we photographed was what they said crouching beside every table, the hands held a little too tightly, and all the things that never had to be spoken loudly for everyone to understand.
